About the client
Polmais Sp. z o.o. is a family business with over 30 years of tradition, operating in the agricultural industry. It specializes in selling corn seed, cereals, plant protection products and fertilizers. The company needed a professional online store to expand its sales channels and ensure compliance with the legal requirements for trading plant protection products.
The challenge
Polmais had no online store - all sales were in-person only. The client needed a complete e-commerce launch from scratch, accounting for the specifics of the agricultural industry: mandatory certificate verification when selling plant protection products, SDS safety data sheets, GHS pictograms and product variants (different packaging and volumes).

1. Building an e-commerce store from scratch
We designed and launched a complete online store on the latest PrestaShop 9.0 with PHP 8.4, Docker containerization and a dedicated custom theme.

2. Dedicated "polmais" theme
We created a unique theme from scratch (~700 lines of CSS), based on the Polmais visual identity - an orange-green color palette, the Satoshi font and the company logo. A mobile-first approach with full responsiveness.

3. Search engine v2.0
We implemented an advanced AJAX search with features unavailable in standard PrestaShop - fuzzy matching, automatic typo correction and smart real-time suggestions.

A sales registry and verification system for plant protection products - required by the Polish Plant Protection Act. Automatic certificate verification, blocking orders without a valid document, reports for the PIORiN inspection
KS GTM DataLayer v1.5.0

5. KS SOR module - compliance with the Plant Protection Act
As a seller of plant protection products, Polmais must meet the requirements of the Polish Plant Protection Act. We deployed our proprietary KS SOR v2.0.0 module, fully automating the verification process.
